Introduction:
The Ground Team Manager will oversee a team of door-to-door sales representatives, driving sales growth and market penetration for HGC’s Internet Service Provider (ISP) offerings. This role involves managing, training, and motivating the sales team to meet aggressive targets, ensuring the seamless execution of sales strategies across multiple regions. The manager will be on the ground, traveling frequently to support field operations, review team performance, and build strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of door-to-door sales representatives across various territories, ensuring they meet their sales quotas and performance targets.
- Recruit, train, and develop door-to-door sales representatives, equipping them with the necessary tools and knowledge to succeed.
- Monitor team performance through regular field visits, sales tracking, and coaching sessions.
- Implement sales incentive programs and motivational strategies to ensure high morale and retention of top performers.
- Provide ongoing feedback and professional development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
- Develop and execute regional door-to-door sales strategies in alignment with company goals and market expansion plans.
- Analyse sales data and market trends to adjust sales tactics and ensure maximum effectiveness in different territories.
- Coordinate marketing materials, promotions, and product offerings to support door-to-door sales efforts.
- Identify opportunities for growth and market penetration within assigned regions and devise tactics to capitalize on them.
- Actively support sales teams in the field, joining them during door-to-door campaigns, and providing guidance on sales pitches, objection handling, and closing techniques.
- Oversee the logistical aspects of field operations, ensuring that sales reps have access to materials, resources, and technology required for success.
- Collaborate with internal departments (marketing, product, and customer service) to ensure a smooth handoff from sales to service delivery.
- Meet with potential and existing customers during door-to-door campaigns to gather feedback, resolve issues, and build rapport.
- Act as a liaison between customers and the technical support team to ensure any service delivery issues are addressed promptly.
- Ensure a positive customer experience by maintaining high standards of service and professionalism within the sales team.
- Track daily, weekly, and monthly sales metrics, providing detailed reports to senior management on team performance, market conditions, and customer feedback.
- Analyse sales data to identify patterns, challenges, and opportunities for improvement in sales execution.
- Maintain accurate records of field activities, customer interactions, and territory performance through CRM systems.
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in managing door-to-door sales teams, preferably in the telecommunications or ISP sector.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets through door-to-door sales channels.
- Experience in hiring, training, and developing high-performing sales teams.
Skills & Competencies:
- Leadership & People Management: Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a distributed team of sales representatives.
- Sales Coaching: Strong coaching and mentorship skills to help sales reps improve their performance in the field.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with team members, clients, and senior management.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple teams, territories, and campaigns simultaneously while keeping everything organized.
- Analytical Skills: Strong data-driven mindset to assess sales performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly address issues in the field and adapt sales strategies based on market conditions and team performance.
Additional Requirements:
- Extensive travel within assigned regions.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and other relevant sales technology.
- Valid driver’s license.
