Grc Specialist (Crm Prac / Fcg / Acg / Cprac / Cprof)

We are looking for a GRC Specialist - registered Compliance Officer in the Insurance sector, Johannesburg.

Job Summary:

The GRC Specialist will provide expert compliance advice, risk management, and governance across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain and develop the Governance, Risk & Control framework, keeping in line with relevant domestic and international legislation, risk methodologies, and frameworks.

Essential Qualifications:

1. Advanced Diplomas / National 1st Degrees in Business Commerce / Legal / Risk Management or Governance.
2. RE5 and RE1.
3. Postgraduate Qualification related to Governance, Risk and / or Compliance.
4. Clear criminal record.
5. Meets FAIS Fit and Proper requirements.

Essential Experience:

1. Registered Compliance Officer.
2. Certified Risk Management Practitioner (CRM Prac), Fellowship or Associate Chartered Governance (FCG / ACG) or Certified Compliance Practitioner / Professional (CPrac / CProf).
3. 3-5 years or more senior experience within Governance, Risk and Compliance.
4. Active membership status with Compliance Institute SA, Institute of Risk Management SA or Chartered Governance Institute of SA.
5. Knowledge of relevant legislation, compliance, and governance requirements.
6. High computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft applications.
7. Report writing and presentation skills.
8. Excellent negotiation, problem solving, and analytical skills.
9. Commercial awareness and the ability to understand broader business issues.
10. Strong research skills, exceptional investigative and probing skills.
11. Development of governance and strategic documentation.
12. Interpretation of legislation.
13. Communication of complex or specialist information to a non-specialist audience.
