Graphic Designer (Port Shepstone/South Coast)

Our client is a dynamic and innovative company specializing in the retail/FMCG sector. We are seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join the creative team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design, attention to detail, and the ability to bring concepts to life across various media platforms.

JOB SUMMARY

The Graphic Designer will be responsible for developing high-quality visual content for both digital and print media. You will collaborate with the marketing, web development, and product teams to create visually compelling designs that align with our brand identity. This role requires a creative individual with excellent time management and communication skills, who can work well both independently and as part of a team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Design and produce high-quality graphics, illustrations, and layouts for print and digital platforms (web, social media, email campaigns, presentations, etc.).
2. Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to create on-brand visuals and maintain brand consistency.
3. Develop innovative design concepts that meet business objectives and client needs.
4. Adapt designs for various platforms, ensuring optimal performance and user experience across devices.
5. Handle multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of design assets.
6. Stay up-to-date with design trends, tools, and software to continuously improve creative output.
7. Provide design support for other teams within the organization as needed.
8. Prepare files for both digital and print production.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelors degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
2. 5+ years of proven experience as a Graphic Designer or in a similar role.
3. Proficiency in design software
4. Have a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in both digital and print design.
5. Solid understanding of typography, colour theory, and composition.
6. Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver quality results under tight deadlines.
7. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
8. Knowledge of web design principles

1. Familiarity with video editing and motion graphics is advantageous.
2. Familiarity with photography and videography is advantageous
