CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOB
A passionate, digitally creative and detail-oriented digital / graphic designer is required to work across a variety of digital design projects. In the role as graphic designer, you will design and execute innovative, engaging digital projects, content, presentation decks, training material & social assets. You will learn about new platforms and be responsible for all creative aspects of business unit, product and client deliverables.

Duties and Responsibilities
Have an expert understanding of graphic design process with the ability to design and produce design material for digital, video, presentations, digital media, point of sale, products & packaging.
Responsibilities include design, layout and electronic preparation for repro or publishing with the use of software (Adobe Illustrator CS6, Indesign CS6, Photoshop CCS6, Microsoft Office, Creative Suite, Java).
Must be able to determine the needs of the team & client, the ultimate function for which the design is intended, and its appeal to customers. In creating the design, research must be conducted using the desired design characteristics.
Keep track of all graphic elements, making sure they are finished in time for presentations with no errors.
Discuss the requirements for the graphic design with team and client and make all changes where necessary.
NATURE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB
This position is responsible for the creative, innovative development and management of assigned creative digital projects in support of growth and sales initiatives which includes actual development of creative design for the digital team. The designer will be part of a team of designers and responsible for the digital design and content component on key clients.
This includes (but not limited to) Digital Design, Web Design, Graphic Design, Conceptualisation, Content Creation, Creativity, Presentations, Layouts, Immersive Customer Journeys and Conceptual Compositions. BIG IDEAS.
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Qualification
A tertiary qualification in graphic design with a diploma or degree is preferred.
5 yrs of experience in design and creative environment.
Experience in digital agency and multi-media industry.
User Interface and Experiential design.
Video & Animation.
Knowledge Skills and Attributes:
Knowledge of multiple operating systems, strong graphic experience and good content layout.
Knowledge of web & mobile design.
Knowledge of the latest GenAI tools and the ability to use them to execute.
Knowledge of the commercial & digital print industry a plus.
Personal Traits and Skills
Computer Skills
Adobe Creative Suite. The qualified candidate will demonstrate expertise in Adobe CS (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and skill in design areas including but not limited to illustration, animation, web graphics and video.
GenAI tools
The preferred candidate will also have knowledge of UX best practices and experience with editorial and website design for multiple devices.
