Job Description

The ideal team player will be responsible to oversee sample taking process and ensure the grading of grain in accordance with statutory requirements.

Requirements

1. Grade 12/ NQF 4
2. Grain grading certificate will serve as recommendation
3. 1-3 years experience in grain grading
4. Computer literate in Microsoft Office
5. Constantly adding value to the current functions of the position
6. Clear Criminal Record

Duties And Responsibilities

1. Execute grading of grain products according to regulations and standards;
2. Grading of lucerne as well as weekly lucerne stock confirmation
3. Ensure equipment is of a functional standard, maintained and calibrated where applicable;
4. Report any quality discrepancies directly to the senior;
5. Provide general support to the department such as accurate tracking of stock control cards
6. Assist with the administrative functions related to security, health and safety aspects
7. Manage client services by ensuring processes are in place to prevent escalation of client complaint
8. Accurate completion of daily, weekly and monthly administrative documentation
9. Daily grading of incoming and outgoing Raw Materials
10. Daily administration on VKB's internal grain system
11. Administration of leave and employee overtime on PRP
12. Upkeep of the HACCP File system for the effective implementation of Food Safety principles
13. Upkeep of Safety Management System to adhere to applicable legislation
