General Worker Electrician Construction Site

Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified Electrician to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on-site, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and electrical codes. The ideal applicant must possess a recognized qualification certificate in electrical work and have experience working on construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures according to safety and code regulations.
2. Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical schematics to determine wiring layouts.
3. Conduct electrical testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.
4. Ensure proper grounding, wiring, and circuit installations to prevent electrical hazards.
5. Collaborate with construction teams to integrate electrical work into overall project plans.
6. Inspect electrical components such as transformers, circuit breakers, and switches for faults or damage.
7. Operate and maintain electrical tools and equipment safely.
8. Ensure strict compliance with local and national electrical codes and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
9. Provide technical guidance to apprentices or junior electricians when required.

Requirements

Education & Certification:

1. Qualification Certificate in Electrical Work (Required).
2. Valid electrician’s license (as per local regulations).
3. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (preferred).

Experience:

1. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an electrician in a construction setting.
2. Experience with commercial and residential electrical systems.

Skills & Competencies:

1. Strong knowledge of electrical codes, wiring systems, and safety protocols.
2. Proficiency in using electrical tools and diagnostic equipment.
3. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
4. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a construction team.
6. Good communication and coordination skills.
7. Physical stamina and ability to work in confined spaces or at heights.

Work Conditions:

1. Work may be performed in both indoor and outdoor construction environments.
2. May involve lifting heavy materials and working at heights.
3. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on project needs.
