General Manager / Operations Manager

A dynamic organization based in the East Rand is looking to employ a General / Operations Manager with experience working in a production manufacturing environment with 5 years’ experience in a similar role.

• Matric
• Tertiary education (Degree, Diploma or Certificates)
• Valid Driver’s License & Own Vehicle
• Must have strong managerial skills, be precise and methodical, and be fair but strict with all staff
• MS Office (Advanced)
• 5 years’ experience in a Senior Management role
• Must have managerial skills with the ability to manage a headcount of 100 plus employees

• Supervising all warehousing staff and helping resolve problems
• Coordinating regular stock takes
• Investigating all stock discrepancies and correcting them as applicable
• Being involved in alleviating bottlenecks especially during busy season
• Produce Stock Reports on a monthly basis and monthly updates

• Ensuring the Buyer is up to date and all orders are received timeously
• Checking of reports 2 - 3 times per week
• Assisting buyer in resolving late supplier deliveries and supply issues

• Check production schedules daily to ensure planning and production is on track
• Monitor production efficiencies are met
• Assist the production manager in resolving bottlenecks and production problems e.g. absenteeism, breakdown on machinery etc.

• Assist and work alongside the Managing Director with new projects, new machines, new product development, and new production lines etc.
• Monitor company KPI’s
