- PSIRA certification
- Grade A; - Special Events Qualification
- Security related or similar relevant qualifications
- Knowledge of SASREA
- Knowledge of Aviation (CAA)
- Good interpersonal skills and strong administration skills
- A good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to regular change
- Good understanding of BCEA, OHS Act, LRA, and National Bargaining Council
- Clean disciplinary, criminal, and credit record
- Driver's license and own reliable transport
Health and Safety knowledge at Events:
- Provide 2nd line assurance by reviewing and validating security plans for the events
- Conduct in-depth risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for identified threats
- Ensure security measures align with BPC policies, legal requirements, and industry best practices
- Work with 1st line security teams to review security incidents and recommend improvements
- Act as a key point of contact for event security, liaising with venue security teams, police, emergency services, and other relevant stakeholders
- Monitor security compliance during live events and provide on-the-ground support when necessary
- Lead post-event security debriefs, identifying lessons learned and areas for improvement
- Provide expert advice on security technologies, crowd management, and emergency response planning such as Fires, Power outages, Structural failures, Terror events, Medical emergencies, and Natural disasters
- Ensure BPC security culture is upheld by training and advising event staff and partners
Proven experience in security management for events, ideally in the music or entertainment industry.
Strong knowledge of security risk assessment methodologies and assurance frameworks.
Familiarity with SA security regulations, counterterrorism measures, and health & safety requirements.
Experience working with law enforcement, emergency services, and private security providers.
Ability to analyse security incidents, trends, and operational risks effectively.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and respond to evolving security threats in real-time.
