A trusted accounting firm, based in Somerset-West, is looking to hire a Tax Manager to join their team.

The Tax Manager will oversee and ensure the accurate and timely submission of all SARS-related tax filings for clients, primarily focusing on companies and trusts, with some individual tax submissions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. SARS Tax Compliance & Reporting: Oversee and manage corporate and individual tax return submissions for clients, including provisional tax and ad hoc submissions.
2. SARS Engagement & Dispute Resolution: Handle SARS queries, objections, audits, and dispute resolutions while representing clients and minimizing risk.
3. Process Improvement & Risk Management: Optimize tax compliance workflows, enhance accuracy, and collaborate with internal teams to improve reporting.
4. Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and guide the Tax Administrator to develop their skills and take on greater responsibilities.
5. Reporting & Internal Coordination: Track compliance, report on tax submissions, communicate deadlines, and escalate potential risks when necessary.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Qualified Tax Practitioner
2. Bachelor's Degree in Taxation or Accounting
3. 3-5 years of total experience
4. SARS e-filing experience is a requirement
5. Experience in tax compliance and tax submissions
6. Ability to manage tax compliance for a high volume of clients

Salary:
