Fund Administrator (Centurion / Bellville)

Location: Bellville, Western Cape, ZA

What will you do?

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Administration of Retirement Funds and maintenance of member level transactions across functional systems and functional areas within SEB Core. (Identify/process/record/report)
  2. Adhere to service level agreements. (Internal and external.)
  3. Adhere to internal controls and procedures in place.
  4. Professional verbal and written communication and reporting to clients. (Internal and external.)
  5. Investigate, resolve and respond to internal and external client queries in a professional and effective manner. (Verbal and in writing)
  6. Investigate, resolve and respond to ad hoc operational requirements. (Verbal and in writing.)
  7. A thorough understanding of and compliance with the Pension Fund Act, Fund Rules and Income Tax Act and any other relevant legislative requirements.
  8. Maintain relationships with internal departments.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Grade 12 with 2 to 3 years related experience in Retirement fund administration
  2. Relevant business degree or diploma or industry related qualification would be an advantage
  3. Benefit payment experience would be advantageous
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)

Knowledge and Skills

  1. Processing transactions and conduct simple calculations (where applicable)
  2. Record keeping, filing and maintenance of databases
  3. Maintain work standards and quality verification
  4. Collating information for reporting
  5. Transfer of knowledge on leading practice and processes
  6. Strong attention to detail and proactive attitude
  7. Strong ability to organize and prioritize
  8. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  9. Results focused and displays energy when performing tasks
