Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Manager to join our team and lead the customer experience in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, a strong ability to manage teams, and a keen eye for detail. As the Front of House Manager, you will oversee all front-of-house operations, ensuring smooth coordination between the restaurant area, bar, and kitchen, while maintaining a high standard of service and guest satisfaction.

*Salary: Market Related

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise front-of-house staff including waiters, runners and bartenders.
  • Ensure excellent Customer service through effective communication, problem-solving, and by maintaining high service standards.
  • Train and develop team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure a smooth workflow and optimal guest experience.
  • Monitor and manage front-of-house operations, ensuring cleanliness and organization of the restaurant area, bar, and smoking section.
  • Handle customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, always striving to improve the guest experience.
  • Maintain inventory and ensure front-of-house supplies are stocked and well-organized.
  • Work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders.
  • Manage reservations, waitlists, and guest seating efficiently.
  • Assist with scheduling and shift management, ensuring adequate coverage during peak times.
  • Uphold company policies, health and safety standards at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a restaurant or similar setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Pilot POS system is a pre-requisite.
  • Basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office or Google Suite).
  • A passion for exceptional customer service and a commitment to excellence.

  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations is a plus.
  • Previous experience with high-volume service is preferred.
