Vacancy: Business Intelligence Developer / Analyst

At Fidelity Services Group, we are looking for a business intelligence developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience developing and managing business intelligence solutions, as well as a strong technical background.

They will be responsible for working with our business stakeholders to understand their data needs and developing solutions to meet those needs. Additionally, they will be responsible for managing our team of business intelligence developers and ensuring that our business intelligence solutions are aligned with our overall business strategy.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Serve as the primary point of contact for business intelligence (BI) and data warehousing (DW) design, development, and maintenance.
2. Work with business and IT stakeholders to understand reporting and data analysis requirements, and convert them into technical specifications.
3. Design, develop, test, and deploy ETL processes to load data from multiple disparate sources into a centralized data warehouse.
4. Design and implement dimensional data models (star schema, snowflake schema, etc.), OLAP cubes, and other data marts as needed.
5. Write SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to support data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL), reporting, and data analysis.
6. Develop custom reports and dashboards using BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, or similar.
7. Perform root cause analysis of data issues, and take corrective action to resolve them.
8. Monitor and optimize ETL processes and database performance, making recommendations for improvements where necessary.
9. Keep abreast of new BI / DW technologies and make recommendations for adoption where relevant.
10. Train and mentor team members on BI / DW concepts and best practices.
11. Assist in the creation of project plans, timelines, and budgets.
12. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.
2. 5+ years professional experience as a business intelligence developer or data analyst.
3. Experience with Big data technologies including data science, data modelling, data auditing, data governance, data storage, data mining, data analytics and data security.
4. Expertise with SQL, relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL Server), OLAP cubes, Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, OneLake.
5. Experience developing ETL processes.
6. Proficiency in BI tools such as QlikView, Qlik Sense, PowerBI, Tableau etc.
7. Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and methodologies, predictive analytics, machine learning and data visualisation.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

1. Certification in BI tools such as QlikView, Qlik Sense, PowerBI, Tableau etc.
2. Experience with Big Data technologies.
3. Experience with Java, Python or R.
