We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Food Technologist with a strong background in quality control to join our client in the FMCG sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that food products meet safety and quality standards while also driving innovation in product development.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement quality control procedures and protocols.
Conduct regular inspections and tests of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
Analyse test results and compile reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Monitor compliance with food safety regulations and industry standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO).
Assist in the development of new products and formulations, ensuring alignment with quality standards.
Provide training and support to staff on quality control processes and best practices.
Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in food technology.
Qualifications:
Grade 12
Bachelor’s degree in food science, Food Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in food technology, with a focus on quality control in the FMCG industry.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality management systems.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in quality control tools and methodologies (e.g., statistical process control, sensory evaluation).
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
