Job description

Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and develop new business opportunities with retailers, supermarkets, wholesalers, and distributors.
  2. Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients to maximize sales.
  3. Conduct regular market visits to promote products, negotiate deals, and monitor competitor activity.
  4. Achieve and exceed sales targets within assigned territories.
  5. Provide excellent customer service and handle client inquiries professionally.
  6. Work closely with marketing and supply chain teams to ensure product availability and effective promotions.
  7. Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts, and customer feedback to management on a weekly and monthly basis.

Key Performance Indicators:

  1. Sales performance: Achieve monthly set sales targets, increase in sales growth against previous months, number of new customers opened and supplied, repeat customer sales (percentage of sales from repeat customers), average order value (average value of order per customer).
  2. Compliance, Customer relationship & Market Expansions: Customer retention rate (percentage of customers continuing to purchase over time), customer satisfaction score (feedback from customers concerning product and service), market coverage (number of stores, wholesalers visited over set period), product success rate (number of products successfully placed per customer), win rate of new customers (number of new customers gained per quarter).
  3. Operational Efficiency: Call/visit per call cycle (number of customer visits) per week, response time to customer queries, order fulfillment rate (percentage of orders delivered on time and in full), stock availability & management (ensuring optimal stock levels in customers' stores), promotional campaign success (sales increase during promotional activities).
  4. Financial & Profitability: Sales vs budget performance (actual sales compared to budgeted sales), discount & return rate (percentage of sales impacted by discounts or returns), debt days (time taken to collect payments from clients).

Language Requirement: Need to speak Afrikaans - Dealbreaker.
