Fireman

Responsible for the constant fire surveillance of the ship. Co-operate with the Safety Officer for the maintenance and cleanliness of firefighting equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the constant fire surveillance of the ship.
• Co-operate with the Safety Officer for the maintenance and cleanliness of firefighting equipment.
• Work in co-operation preparing all means of access on board (ladders, gangways, etc.) respecting all injury prevention rules related to them.
• Understanding methods and procedures for the maintenance of firefighting equipment and structural devices.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Know, understand and implement the Company Policy in respect of the ISM (International Safety Management).
• Sufficient knowledge in firefighting techniques and injury prevention.
• Sufficient knowledge in maintenance, techniques, and seamanship.
• Knowledge of International, National, and Company regulations regarding safety.
• Advanced Fire Fighting Training Certification.
• Physically fit and healthy.
• Proven successful experience for at least 2 years in a similar position at sea or at least 4 years as a sailor on a passenger ship.
