Financial Planning Analyst

Job Function: Assist the Senior FP&A Analyst to manage the full end to end Financial Planning and Analysis function for LA.

Key Performance Areas:

1. Monthly Reporting
   1. Compile the 20th flash reports with business commentary on variances (LA & BBBEE)
   2. Compile the Month End flash reports with business commentary on variances (LA & BBBEE)
   3. Resolution of flash queries
   4. Monthly CSI reporting
   5. Monthly variance analysis of actuals against forecast / budget / prior year for key accounts (IS, BS, CF) and partner with the businesses to close the gaps
   6. Prediction of future trends / tracking against targets and engage with businesses.
   7. Monthly Capex & Opex analysis against budget / forecast / prior year
   8. Other analysis as required by the business.
   9. Management of the reporting structure & data on the intranet
2. Quarterly / Bi-Annual:
   1. Manage the forecast process with the business units and the divisional teams
   2. Prepare Forecast reports for review and ensure agrees to data loaded in HFM
   3. Ensure forecast reports are accurate and complete
   4. Review forecast recons for accuracy, reasonableness and completeness
   5. Review aggregated capex schedules for accuracy, reasonableness and completeness
   6. Resolution of Forecast queries
   7. Prepare forecast presentation
3. Annual:
   1. Manage the annual budget process with the business units and the divisional teams
   2. Prepare budget reports for review and ensure agrees to data loaded in HFM
   3. Ensure budget reports are accurate and complete
   4. Review budget recons for accuracy, reasonableness and completeness
   5. Review aggregated capex schedules for accuracy, reasonableness and completeness
   6. Resolution of budget queries
   7. Prepare budget presentations
   8. Review the 3 year plan
4. Adhoc:
   1. Provide assistance to manager as required
   2. Develop financial models
   3. Drive continuous improvement initiatives e.g. design and implement insightful reporting to drive better visibility for opportunities
   4. Assist with special requests and projects as required

Qualifications Required:

CA(SA), 2-3 years experience
