Key Responsibilities :
Full responsibility for the preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting deadlines.
- Oversee all financial transactions and accounting practices
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, and internal policies.
- Preparation of annual financial statements and liaison with external auditors.
- Budgeting & Forecasting :
Develop, implement, and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Provide variance analysis with actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with departmental heads to ensure alignment between operational plans and financial goals.
- Cash Flow & Treasury Management :
Daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow management and forecasting.
- Optimise working capital and manage banking relationships.
- Strategic Financial Planning :
Support senior management with financial insights and analysis to inform strategic decisions.
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing actual results with budgets and prior periods.
- Controls & Compliance :
Strengthen internal controls and processes to mitigate financial risks.
- Implement policies and procedures ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
- Ensure the team is appropriately skilled and resourced.
- Stakeholder Management :
Act as a key point of contact for external auditors, banks, SARS, and other regulatory bodies.
- Regular interaction with executive management, providing financial guidance and support.
