Mandatory Requirements
Fully professionally qualified CA/ACA/ACCA/ACMA
7+ years relevant post qualified experience (Group Reporting, Controlling)
3+ years experiencing managing teams
Strong Oracle Netsuite experience, including Consolidation
Experience working in Group or Regional Finance teams
Previous experience in FinTech, ideally with exposure to Client Money, Stored Value Facilities or Custodial Services

Desirable Experience
Previous startup/growth stage company experience
A financial educational background such as a BA Finance, BA Accounting, MBA or relevant degree
Responsibilities
Lead the Corporate Accounting and Financial Reporting teams – 5 direct and indirect reports
Lead the Month End closing process, ensuring all finance teams close accurately and on time
Manage the timely production of accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
Ensure financial reports, management reports, financial records and documentation are accurate, up to date and produced on time
Ensure the Corporate Accounting Team performs financial checks on AP invoices are performed so that GL codes, cost centres and amortisation treatments are correctly applied
Perform the final reviews of TBs by entity by month, analysing trends, identifying inconsistencies and explaining off-trend movements
Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy, identify discrepancies and ensure they are resolved
Collaborate with the finance teams to prepare for year-end audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and records are in order
Launch monthly Cost Centre Dashboards and ensure department specialists within the Corporate Accounting Team meet with Cost Centre owners monthly to present historical costs and management information, and find out about upcoming projects and costs
Final review of statutory standalone and consolidated Group financial statements under IFRS and other international accounting standards
Perform analysis and technical accounting research (IFRS and international accounting standards)
Ensuring appropriate documentation of accounting treatment of complex and judgemental transactions, including analysis, relevant literature, and conclusion
Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory accounting and reporting requirements
Step in to support team members on month-end procedures to ensure monthly closing happens on time
Continuous maintenance and improvement of templates and standard operating procedures
Any other tasks and projects assigned by the VP Finance
Management:
Managing team members, monitoring performance and consistently providing feedback.
Responsible for coaching and developing junior members of staff
Weekly 1:1 meetings with direct reports and formal quarterly performance reviews
Fostering a culture of excellence, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement at all levels within the Finance team
