Our client, a large manufacturer/engineering company in Midrand, Johannesburg, is looking for an experienced Financial Controller with 5 years of experience and completed SAICA articles or SAIPA.

You will be overseeing the financial cost controlling function.

The candidate must have experience in leading a finance team with working knowledge from a manufacturing, imports, and distribution environment.

Salary: Negotiable including medical aid and pension

Minimum Requirements:

1. Accounting/Financial Qualification
2. Preferably management accountant experience
3. Cost & Management Accounting experience is an added benefit
4. Completed SAICA articles or SAIPA is a must
5. Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience as a Financial Controller/Financial Manager from the retail manufacturing industry
6. Solid financial management and reporting abilities
7. Experience completing audit files and yearly audits with auditors
8. Experience working in the manufacturing environment will be an advantage

Responsibilities:

1. Management of the finance team, debtors, creditors, and accounting
2. Compile and report on management accounts
3. Preparation and distribution of monthly management reports and analysis of results
4. Inventory/Stock management with manufacturing and import divisions
5. Oversee the compilation of accurate monthly accounts
6. Compile budgets, forecasts, and cash flow for the CFO to approve
7. Complete accurate monthly forward forecasting
8. Assist and control manufacturing and selling costs regarding labor costs and raw product imports and completions
