What’s the role?
You will be responsible for:
Manage interactions with SARS, including scheduling appointments and in-person visits.
Utilize in-depth knowledge of SARS eFiling to submit VAT, Income Tax, and PAYE returns.
Resolve SARS-related queries and compliance issues efficiently.
Navigate and manage the backend of SARS systems for effective compliance management.
Handle submissions and compliance requirements related to the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC).
Ensure timely and accurate filing of statutory documents
Act as the organization's designated tax practitioner, ensuring compliance with all tax regulations.
Assist with tax planning and provide strategic advice to mitigate compliance risks.
Monitor and ensure adherence to all financial regulations, particularly those concerning SARS and CIPC.
Identify and resolve compliance issues proactively, maintaining high standards of accuracy and accountability.
Work collaboratively with internal teams to maintain compliance and support business objectives.
Provide training and guidance on SARS and CIPC-related compliance matters.

3+ Years experience in the relevant field
Proven experience in financial compliance, particularly tax and regulatory reporting.
Knowledge of South African tax laws and regulations.
In-depth knowledge of SARS eFiling and backend systems.
Experience in submitting VAT, Income Tax, and PAYE returns.
Familiarity with CIPC systems and submission requirements.
