Salary: R70-85K Per Month

Purpose of Position: Complement Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Financial Compliance Officer, Chartered Accountant to join our clients finance team based in Woodmead, Johannesburg, Gauteng.

The FCO will be reporting to the Senior Financial Officer, of which you will be at the forefront of ensuring regulatory compliance, implementing financial controls and safeguarding the company's assets while minimizing financial risks.

Minimum Requirements Qualifications And Skills:

1. Qualifications: A Chartered Accountant with up-to-date IFRS requirements.
2. Minimum of 5 years experience in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with at least 3 years as a manager.
3. Own transport, able to work extended hours when required.

Duties:

1. Ensure that the business complies with financial regulations and legal standards across multiple African countries.
2. Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with regulatory standards.
3. Implement strong internal financial controls to protect company assets.
4. Lead financial risk assessments, audits, and investigations.
5. Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
6. Develop and enforce compliance policies and frameworks.
7. Lead, mentor, and train teams to drive compliance culture.
8. Manage performance of the team and promote employee engagement.
