Key Responsibilities:

1. Must have a fair understanding of the entity relationships within a database and how the various systems integrate with each other.
2. Use Case skills.
3. Able to compile process and data flow diagrams and Context diagrams.
4. Must have creative skills in providing possible solutions to business requirements.
5. Analytical thinker with problem-solving skills.
6. Must be able to define user journeys.
7. Ability to research and define solutions, best fit for industry, customer and aligned to group strategic objectives.
8. Ability to run with analysis and present thinking to business.
9. Ability to defend requirements and explain thinking.
10. Understand how the requirements achieve business objectives tied to return on investment.
11. Ability to work unattended and meet strict timelines.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 3 - 5 years relevant Business Analyst experience required.
2. Bcom or Industry Related Degree.
3. Familiar with Agile & Waterfall methodology.
4. Business Analysis Competencies: Presentation Skills, Information Gathering, Self Starter, Team worker, Some leadership Skills, Good writing skills, Conflict management skills.

Additional Requirements:

1. Act as an interface between business, developers, and testers.
2. Be empathetic yet diplomatic when dealing with concerns and conflict.
3. Business analyses, i.e. planning, eliciting, documenting, and reviewing.
4. Analyse projects using best practices.
5. Workshop or hold JAD sessions to gather requirements and drive workshops when necessary.
6. Ability to make decisions, think on your feet, and be proactive.
7. Provide solutions or recommendations to business when requirements are unclear.
8. Preparation of functional requirements specifications.
9. Preparation of business solutions specifications.
10. Enterprise analysis skills: identify opportunities, risks & assumptions.
11. Stakeholder Analyses: understand audience and identify them upfront.
12. Assess, analyse and optimise end-to-end business processes.
13. Detailed extraction and documentation of all business rules impacting a project.
14. Create relevant analysis documentation using change control processes and version controls.
15. Manage your own time to prioritise multiple projects.
16. Provide feedback and guidance to more junior members in the team.
17. Review test cases provided by the Test Analyst.
18. Manage all Project analysis Documentation and ensure all sign-offs are achieved prior to work beginning on the project.
19. Take accountability for own projects through to implementation.
20. Be actively involved from start to end of a project lifecycle.
21. Ability to run some initiatives as the BA and PM where applicable and necessary.
