Customer Care Representative - Your Future Position?

As a member of the Customer Care Team, you will manage the sales order process from receipt through to shipment for the assigned customers and affiliates in line with Customer Care guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Order Process: Manage the sales order process from receipt of order through to shipment for assigned customers and affiliates.
  2. Disposition and organize transport including facilitating the issuing of dangerous goods certificates/declarations.
  3. Collaborate with other departments to assure that customer needs are delivered on time and manage customer expectations.
  4. Pricing: Responsible for day-to-day communication and clarifications with sales, pricing, planning, production, quality control, customs, forwarding agents, and customers.
  5. Resolve issues and handle customer complaints internally and externally.
  6. Confirm pricing, inventory, and provide ship date information.
  7. Prepare invoices, debit notes, credit notes, process notifications, and customer returns where relevant.
  8. Co-ordinate with Planning on information relating to demand planning and stock agreements.
  9. Provide coverage and support accounts for other team members when necessary.
  10. Act as a coach and mentor to new Customer Care Representatives.
  11. Arrange transportation with forwarders and manage the process of inspection for international orders.
  12. Identify areas of process efficiencies and propose solutions.
  13. Act as Power User for Customer Care Team and participate in regional meetings.
  14. Conduct customer visits when necessary.

Your Professional Profile Includes:

  • Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain
  • Language skills: English speaking, reading, and writing is mandatory; any other language(s) as required (e.g., Portuguese)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong process management knowledge
  • Excellent understanding of Customer Relationship Management
  • Good understanding of Export Market, Incoterms, and Shipping terminology
  • Experience with drop shipments from Europe into Sub-Saharan Africa
  • Basic inventory knowledge
  • Competent conflict management and negotiation skills
