Sanlam Developing Markets (SDM) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sanlam Life Limited and is one of the top financial services providers in the South African entry-level and emerging middle market. It aims to understand the unique requirements of clients and offers a wide range of simple and affordable financial solutions that cover needs such as funeral insurance, savings for education, life cover, and personal accident plans.
Key Responsibilities
Provide financial advice along with a financial plan in line with the customer value proposition and treating customers fairly framework.
Work in allocated key accounts and allocated markets.
Offer customer service to Sanlam clients.
Arrange appointments with potential customers within Key Accounts and Allocated Markets.
Update and inform customers and the public of our new products.
Develop and maintain an understanding of the range of Sanlam products.
Ensure Continuous Professional Development (CPD) credits, accreditations, and qualifications are up to date.
Participate in knowledge sharing platforms and training opportunities.
Report on activities daily using relevant technology platforms.
Collate data on activities to meet weekly and monthly reporting deadlines.
Work with Sales Manager to identify priority areas and plan monthly activities accordingly.
What will make you successful in this role?
Qualification & Experience:
FSB recognised qualification listed or credits pertaining to the date of first appointment in the industry.
Matric (Grade 12) or NQF level 4.
RE5 an advantage.
Clear credit and criminal records.
FAIS Compliance.
At least two years’ work experience within sales or marketing.
Knowledge:
Sales tactics and approaches.
Client service and engagement.
Relevant regulatory frameworks, policies, and standards.
Sanlam insurance products (ideal).
