Assistant to Financial Adviser - Discovery
Location: Pretoria
Reporting to Franchise Principal
Remuneration: R15 000 - R25 000 & commission
About the Role:
Successful candidate will be assisting a senior Discovery broker in the servicing of his existing clients and the growth of his client base. The ideal candidate is/was an accredited Discovery adviser with a professional manner and strong financial planning skills.

- Adaptability. Must be able to work with a panel of different Advisors
- Discovery product knowledge required
- Discovery system experience needed (FAZ, Smart Advice)
- Will need to work under pressure at times.
Overview of Duties:
- Staying up to date on product changes and enhancements
- Staying up to date on the financial planning industry and new trends
- Client Information gathering
- Consolidating and restructuring of a client's existing portfolio
- Compiling a financial needs analysis based on information gathered
- Meeting with clients at their convenience.
Ability to plan across all product lines including:
- Life
- Disability
- Severe Illness
- Income Protection
- Retirement
- Investment goals
- Preparing various quotations based on FNA findings.
- Replacement analysis and comparisons between existing products and new proposed products.
- Assisting Advisor with RAR using analysis above
- Completing, documenting, and preparing a financial assessment for the Advisor to present to their client.
- Servicing changes on existing client base
- Finalising servicing quotes
- Preparing summary of proposal for review by Advisor and client
- Reiterating the DRO value proposition and need for vitality engagement.
- Receiving, checking, and submitting applications to the PA
- Requesting Astutes and transferring information to client policy schedules
- Requesting information from external sources where necessary
- Assisting Advisor with Record of Advice to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Preparing review of clients existing portfolio, making suggestions to Advisor.
- Transferring quotes data to excel and/or PowerPoint.
- General reporting and planning as required by Advisors
- Liaising with PA and Advisor to ensure that we offer holistic, best advice, financial planning to our clients with excellent client service.
