HIRING : FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT (SAIPA)

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Accountant with a SAIPA qualification to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the cashbook and bank reconciliations, processing journal entries, maintaining the fixed assets register, handling VAT calculations, and performing other routine financial record-keeping tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills and the ability to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage and process cashbooks and bank reconciliations for multiple companies, including transactions in foreign currencies.
2. Maintain and update the fixed assets register, ensuring accurate depreciation calculations.
3. Perform VAT calculations and reconciliations to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
4. Capture and process credit card transactions and employee reimbursement expenses.
5. Process monthly journals, including accruals, provisions, and prepayments.
6. Record general journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
7. Assist with the preparation of financial reports and submit them to management and stakeholders.
8. Provide regular analytical reviews to identify financial trends and insights.
9. Support the finance team during year-end audits and assist in gathering relevant information.
10. Ensure all financial records are maintained accurately and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

1. SAIPA qualification (Professional Accountant – SAIPA).
2. Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
3. Strong experience with financial accounting, including managing cashbooks, bank reconciliations, and fixed assets.
4. Proficient in VAT calculations, reconciliations, and general accounting practices.
5. Knowledge of foreign currency transactions and multi-currency reconciliations.
6. Ability to prepare and process monthly journals (accruals, provisions, and prepayments).
7. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
