Financial Accountant (Residential and Commercial Properties)

Permanent and office based.

Location: Lynnwood, Gauteng

Position Overview:

A well-established property development, project management, and leasing firm has an exciting new position for a Financial Accountant.

The Financial Accountant is responsible for maintaining the company’s financial records, ensuring accurate reporting, and compliance with relevant regulations. This role focuses on technical accounting tasks and supports the Financial Manager in daily financial operations, enabling him/her to focus on higher-level management duties.

The Financial Accountant will play a critical role in preparing and reviewing financial information, reconciliations, and supporting budget and tax processes.

Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent.

Experience (Preferred but not required):

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Experience in property development and/or management.
• Experience with property management systems, specifically MRI Property Central.
• Must be fluent in Afrikaans, both professional written reporting and verbal communication skills.

Skills and Competencies:

Technical Proficiency:

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting, particularly relating to group accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with cloud-based technology platforms (e.g., OneDrive, SharePoint) for managing financial data and documents.
