Our client is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will be required to compile, analyse and report on monthly cost and management account status. The Financial Accountant will report to the Finance Manager.

Responsibilities:

1. Complete and review key account monthly reconciliations and resolve queries.
2. Review and implement accounting/financial controls where necessary.
3. Regularly review the trial balance with subsidiary ledgers and bank statements to ensure consistency across records. Consider & process month end journals/adjustments where necessary.
4. Produce monthly management accounts on time including analysis on variance and accompanying notes.
5. Ensure all sub-ledgers are accurate and up to date.
6. Produce monthly key account analysis schedules.
7. Prepare budgets and analysis of actual vs budget on a monthly basis.
8. Constantly improve efficiency, context and extent of financial reporting.
9. Prepare schedules/reports as requested by auditors and attend to all audit queries.
10. Identify areas for improvement of processes.
11. Consider all financial processes and controls within the office and constantly improve efficiency, reporting and controls.
12. Assist with feasibility and costings where required.
13. Update Distributor price list and ensure that the information is correct on the Portal and Syspro.
14. Check weekly and monthly supplier payments.

Skills:

1. A good financial understanding of transactional processing across all the modules in Syspro.
2. High proficiency in Excel.
3. Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
4. Attention to detail and accuracy.

Qualifications:

1. Financial Diploma or Degree.
2. 4-5 Years accounting experience, manufacturing experience advantageous.
3. Knowledge of Syspro advantageous.
