Lyceum is seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to manage daily financial operations and ensure the financial health of the institution. In this role, you will be responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting, budget management, tax compliance, and providing support across various financial functions, including credit control, collections, and more. Requirements: Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (essential). Professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA) are advantageous.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a Financial Accountant role, ideally within the education or services sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting: Oversee daily accounting tasks, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and journal entries.
Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements and reports (monthly, quarterly, and annually) in line with regulatory standards.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Support annual budget preparation and assist with financial forecasting.
Tax Compliance: Ensure timely filing of tax returns and adherence to relevant tax laws.
Auditing: Collaborate with auditors and prepare necessary documentation for audit processes.
Related Financial Functions: Manage credit control and collections, handle debit orders and reconciliation of transactions, process cancellations and refunds accurately and efficiently, and support other financial tasks as required.
