Duties & Responsibilities
This role reports to the Financial Manager - Logistics.
Budgeting and Financial Analysis: Assist in coordinating and preparing budgets, financial forecasts, and scenario planning. Track actual vs. budget costs and provide analysis on variances.
Process Improvement and Internal Controls: Recommend and implement financial processes and improvement measures. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls.
Reporting and Decision Support: Continuously improve Franchise Network reporting through automation and building financial models. Engage with stakeholders, including Franchise Network, for project initiatives, cost analysis, and SOP implementation.
Month-end Reporting: Prepare month-end reports, including delivery cost and revenue calculations. Investigate and report on variances, performance indicators, trends, and financial ratios.
Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Review and reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts.
Inventory and Asset Management: Manage internal purchases, sales operating stock, and assets provided to Franchisees and owned network facilities.
Expense Management: Allocate expenses and manage cost center approvals and tracking of purchase orders.
Team Management: Supervise and manage junior staff.
Ad Hoc Tasks: Assist senior management with ad hoc tasks as required.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Commerce with a focus on Accounting / Finance, specialization in Logistics, is desirable. CA(SA) or CIMA qualification is advantageous. Preference will be given to candidates with 1-3 years of experience in a retail / logistics setting. Strong Academic Records. Proficiency in Advanced Excel and Google Sheets.
