Financial Accountant

Job Title: Financial Accountant
Location: Johannesburg, South Africa

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Accountant to join our client's team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, and will be responsible for managing the financial health of our organization. The Financial Accountant will work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP standards
2. Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes
3. Manage the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of all financial data
4. Analyze financial performance and provide insights to management
5. Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
6. Maintain and improve internal controls and processes
7. Work closely with external auditors during the audit process
8. Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting standards and regulations

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or a relevant degree in Finance
2. Minimum 75% completion of the Graduate Trainee Program, OR minimum 2 years' experience at C-Upper level
3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
