What’s the role?
You will be responsible for:
Cashbooks, bank reconciliations, and allocation of deposits.
Invoicing students, members, and the public.
Doing schedules of examiner and contractor payments, to be submitted on a quarterly basis, sent to the Payroll administrator once a year by the end of April.
Keeping the suppliers list up to date.
Managing BBBEE certification process.
Performing VAT calculations, reconciliations, submissions, and payments on the cash basis.
Managing contracts and relationships with external service providers.
Assisting with trial balances and annual financial statements.
Assisting with preparation of management accounts.
Processing payments on Standard Bank’s business online payments.
Processing debit order collections on Standard Bank’s business online for our members.
Assisting with the external audit process.
Assisting in compiling departmental budgets.
Ledger accounts reconciliations.
Maintaining the CSD database.
Completing and submitting vendor forms.
Reconciling the finance and student sub-systems.
Communicating with all relevant stakeholders.
Replying to all financial queries.
Supporting the finance manager as requested.

CGISA qualification (with accounting subjects) or a recognized accounting degree.
At least 5 years accounting experience.
Computer literate – Excel, MS Word, a recognized accounting package; Sage Evolution is an advantage.
