We are looking for a Financial Accountant to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa! In this role, you will be responsible for a range of financial activities, including accounting, financial analysis, auditing, taxation, and payroll.

You will also play a key role in developing and assessing financial plans and policies while ensuring the establishment and maintenance of accounting, financial, and reporting controls.

What will you do in our team?

1. Overseeing Account Payable function situated in Cluj (centralized system).
2. Main contact person with the bank pertaining to foreign payments and submission of relevant documentation.
3. Monthly reconciliation of local Accounts Payable ledgers.
4. Run costing of Inventory items on Oracle.
5. Preparing and maintaining of Bank reconciliations, Petty Cash and upload of Daily Bank Balances.
6. Preparing and maintaining of Cashflow actuals and forecast.
7. Preparing of monthly Inter-company cross charges and maintaining of Allocation accounts.
8. Preparing of monthly statutory returns such as VAT & PAYE.
9. Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register (SA & US GAAP) and CAPEX budget.
10. Preparing, compiling, analyzing and ensuring completeness of month end reporting package on HFM.
11. Liaising with external auditors, coordinating the preparation of audit packs as well as compiling of financial statements.
12. General day to day accounting functions (for example, journals, releasing of payments, calculating and posting of monthly revaluations, maintaining the integrity of the GL, etc.)
13. Ad Hoc responsibilities from Management.

What will make you successful?

1. B Hons Financial Accounting.
2. 3-5 Years of experience in Financial Accounting.
3. Additional computer skills would be highly advantageous: Oracle & Rogue HFM.
