Introduction: We are looking to recruit a permanent Finance Manager (Projects) to work for United Pharmaceutical Distributors (UPD). The role will be based at our Lea Glen - Roodepoort Branch and will report to the Head of Finance.
Job Purpose: To provide financial support by working closely with the business unit heads to help develop and oversee a variety of projects related to the organization's revenue, annual statements, etc. This role combines the financial oversight duties and coordination of project management. Ensure the integrity of UPD's financial systems and consistently enhance system capabilities; reduce inefficiencies through liaising between finance and IT and assist the end users to define their processes, problems, opportunities, and needs and identifying the requirements to solve them. Develop the Finance IT systems roadmap for group services and ensure that this strategic plan is aligned to Group Finance requirements.
Job Objectives:
Job Experience: CA or MBA will be advantageous. Proficiency in SAP S4. 3 to 5 years in Finance systems implementations (Bespoke to Enterprise). Extensive experience within distribution, logistics, FMCG and/or manufacturing industries. High volume, high transactional, inventory management experience in semi-automated environments. Sound transactional/operational experience with a strong business acumen. Pharmaceutical industry experience will be advantageous. Project appraisal and costing experience of 5 years within a listed/medium capitalized company.
Job Knowledge: Sound knowledge of financial accounting principles. 3 years of knowledge/hands-on experience of SAP application and configuration. Logistics and distribution business acumen. Project, Planning & Organising. Process optimization and audit trails. IT systems and process understanding.
Job Related Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships. Strong influencing and interpersonal skills. High level of commercial acumen. Advanced computer software skills, including writing macros in Excel and other accounting packages.
