Introduction

Position: Finance Manager | Office Automation

Location: Boksburg

Salary: R50 / R60 .00 pm

We are currently recruiting for an experienced FM to join a thriving company within the office automation space.

JOB PURPOSE

Manage the financial and accounting processes. Responsible for preparing financial reports, performing research and analysis, maintaining the general ledger, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with audit preparations.

Also responsible for the financial planning administration, overseeing financial activities, and the day-to-day financial transactions and procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Cash flow planning and reporting and management
2. Checking and signing off on all cash receipts and all journal entries, write offs etc.
3. Customer refunds (both cashbook & Debtors account adjustments)
4. Assisting debtors with queries and collections, interaction with customers to resolve disputes
5. Creditors recons (supplier and other expenses) checking & releasing of all payments
6. Debtors legal files / bad debts / legal handovers
7. Ensure stock control is in alignment to companies forecast and processes.
8. Credit applications, credit checks on ITC and approvals, Blacklisting defaults
9. Monthly journal entries sign offs.
10. Ad hoc and monthly Financial management reporting requested from CEO and or COO
11. Ensure that all departmental HOD's are financially aligned with companies strategic planning
12. Balance sheet recons
13. Predicted Cash flow forecast
14. Analysis and Preparation of Management accounts
15. Vat reconciliation and submission to SARS
16. Authorising and releasing payment
17. Implementation and management of effective and efficient internal financial controls
18. Foreign Currency Bookings and entries with joint authorization from COO.
19. Driving the financial planning of the company by analysing its performance and risks
20. Retaining constant awareness of the company's financial position and acting to prevent problems
21. Set targets for and supervise all accounting and finance personnel (management accountants, creditors, debtors etc.)
22. Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis
23. Conduct analysis to make forecasts and report to upper executives
24. Ensure adherence to financial law guidelines
25. Liaison with external auditors and the provision and compilation of audit files;
26. Accurate and timeous reporting function;
27. Internal control functions, management, reporting and liaison;
28. Cash-flows, working capital management including bank, stock, debtors, accounts payable;
29. Budgets and forecasts;
30. All duties, functions, management and responsibilities relating to the financial affairs and books of account of the company.
31. All Tax functions and administration including vat and normal tax; and detailed expense accounts, cost analysis and control.

Desired Experience & Qualification

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelor's degree in accounting / Finance or relevant field; MSc / MA is advantageous
2. Minimum 5 years related work experience in a similar role.
3. Advanced Computer skills essential (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)
4. Pastel and BPO Knowledge – advantageous
5. In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices
6. Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
