Finance Manager

Our Retail Group Client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Fragrance Buyer based in Umhlanga, Durban.

The Fragrance Buyer will play a crucial role in sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing consumables from suppliers, as well as monitoring inventory levels and ensuring the timely delivery of goods.

Remuneration: The remuneration for this position is market-dependent on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Requirements:

• Matric and completed a Degree in Fragrance / Fashion / Apparel Design, Supply Chain Diploma, or Retail.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the Fragrance industry as a buyer.
• Proven track record of successful negotiations and cost-effective procurement.
• Familiarity with market trends and a keen eye for fashion and fragrance products.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems and processes.

Responsibilities:

Sourcing and Negotiation:

• Identify and establish relationships with reliable suppliers.
• Negotiate terms and conditions to secure advantageous agreements.
• Stay updated on market trends and maintain awareness of competitor pricing.

Procurement:

• Execute the procurement process efficiently, ensuring the acquisition of high-quality products.
• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure compliance with company standards.

Inventory Management:

• Regularly assess inventory levels and reorder stock as needed.
• Implement effective inventory control measures to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
• Work closely with other departments such as marketing and sales to align purchasing strategies with business goals.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure a seamless supply chain process.

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure that all purchased products meet quality standards and comply with relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with quality control teams to address any product-related issues.
