We're seeking an exceptional Operations Finance Manager to lead our finance team and steer our operations towards unprecedented success. The role is based on the West Coast in Cape Town and has 6 direct reports.

As the Finance Manager, you'll be managing the full spectrum of financial reporting for Lucky Star Operations, including our Amawandle business and the management reporting consolidation of our Pelagic JV's. Duties will include overseeing diverse sectors such as Canned Fish, Canned Meat, Fish Meal, and Fleet management, ensuring operational efficiency.

Your role will be more than just crunching numbers; it's about deciphering the story behind the data, guiding operational management through insightful analysis, and crafting strategies for optimized cost control across operational, maintenance, and capital expenditure domains. You'll contribute towards daily KPI dissemination, ensuring operational managers are equipped with the vital information needed for strategic decision-making. You will also be at the forefront of driving profitability, participating in high-stakes JV meetings and negotiations, advising on the profit impact of different fish supply permutations, and ensuring seamless coordination of budgets, forecasts, and reporting.

We're looking for a leader with a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a knack for fostering teamwork and productivity.

Minimum requirements include:

• CA (SA) qualification
• 3 to 5 years' post-articles experience in a commercial accounting environment
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable,
• Proficiency in SAP
• solid grasp of IFRS and Tax Law

The position will be based on the West Coast, in St Helena Bay therefore you should be comfortable to relocate to this area.
