Position Overview:
We are looking for a confident, results-driven Finance Manager with a strong background in cost accounting and financial leadership. This key role will oversee and manage the full financial function and operations of the company, ensuring that financial operations are efficient, transparent, and compliant with all regulations. The ideal candidate will possess the financial insight needed to navigate a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment while maintaining a strong focus on financial compliance, cost management, and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
- Full Financial Function & Operations Management:
- Oversee and manage the full financial function and operations of the company, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance.
- Ensure that all financial processes are efficient, effective, and aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
- Lead and manage the financial planning and analysis functions, providing insights that guide decision-making.
- Cost Accounting & Financial Reporting:
- Manage cost accounting processes, including cost allocation, inventory valuation, and product profitability analysis.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, providing insight into operational performance and cost efficiency.
- Support the development of budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Leadership & Team Structure:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and driving continuous improvement.
- Establish and implement efficient financial processes, controls, and systems that enable growth and scalability.
- Cultivate a collaborative and results-oriented culture within the finance team.
- Financial Compliance & Insight:
- Ensure strict adherence to financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls, safeguarding the company's financial integrity.
- Provide strategic financial insight and decision-making support to senior management, guiding the company through financial challenges and opportunities.
- Proactively identify risks and implement solutions to mitigate them while maintaining a focus on profitability and financial stability.
- Day-to-Day Financial Operations:
- Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Prepare accurate and timely management accounts and financial statements.
- Monitor cash flow, optimize working capital, and implement cost control measures.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and internal control systems.
- Collaboration & Audits:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that drive performance and profitability.
- Assist in external audits and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Adapting to Change:
- Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and contribute to the company’s strategic goals through sound financial management.
- Lead financial change management initiatives, helping the company adapt to new financial systems, processes, or market conditions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA(SA), ACCA, or CIMA).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial management, with a strong focus on cost and financial accounting and financial reporting.
- Proven experience in structuring and leading a finance department, including team management, coaching, and development.
- Experience in financial accounting, ideally within a manufacturing environment, is highly desirable.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software e.g Xero and Excel.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills, with the ability to provide actionable financial insights.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a rapidly changing environment while maintaining a clear focus on financial objectives.
