Job description
Role Description
  1. Manage and run the regional South Africa and UK TA Finance Function.
  2. Review and approve key month end financial reconciliations.
  3. Prepare tax calculations and regulatory returns.
  4. Ensure B-BBEE compliance; candidate must have a good understanding of B-BBEE.
  5. Manage and submit treasury requirements to the group.
  6. Manage the statutory and group audits of the entity.
  7. Build reports and perform data analysis.
  8. Formulate client charge models (rate cards) and analyze costs attributed to these services.
  9. Attend operational meetings with managers and respond to finance-related queries.
  10. Review, monitor, and manage budgets.
  11. Develop and prepare monthly costing model.
  12. Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and the budgeting process.
  13. Ensure that all appropriate internal controls are always functioning effectively.
  14. Assist team in terms of problem resolution and troubleshooting.
  15. Manage and ensure high standard of service delivery to clients and key stakeholders.
  16. Liaise with and build effective communication between departments.
  17. Prepare and analyze monthly management reports.
  18. Produce financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses, etc.

People
  1. Develop, mentor, and coach team leaders.
  2. Develop accounting, internal control, and business knowledge within the team.
  3. Effective productivity and capacity management.
  4. Performance manage the finance team and structure work allocation.

Strategy
  1. Design/review/implementation of best practices for structure of accounts, reconciliations, and reports.

Organizational Design
  1. Regional finance function within South Africa.

Team Responsibilities
  1. The team is responsible for maintaining and preparing financial information for the SA region and UK TA.

Specific Role Responsibilities
  1. Manage all the outputs of the SA regional finance team.
  2. Report monthly group results to the group team.
  3. Ensure all statutory requirements are met, i.e., Tax, BBEEE.
  4. Work closely with the regional CFO and ensure all finance reporting is done accurately.

Experience and skill set required
  1. Ability to build reports and perform data analysis (great advantage).
  2. Proven experience as a Financial Accountant/Manager.
  3. Experience in the financial sector (at least three years).
  4. Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns.
  5. Proficient user of finance software.
  6. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  7. Able to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
  8. The role requires the successful candidate to work closely with a global finance team.
  9. Qualified CA/Completed Articles (non-negotiable).
