FINANCE MANAGER - SOUTH AFRICA
REPORTS TO: Managing Director
Located in Midrand

ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Finance Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end financial accounting, management, and reporting for a South African Sales & Distribution subsidiary, as well as providing shared services to a sister company's Service Provider Business operational holding subsidiaries in South Africa.

This role reports into the Managing Director overseeing both South African entities and the Finance Manager Middle East & Africa.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Review and align relevant financial processes and systems' group accounting principles to ensure compliance with the group's financial control framework.
  2. Support the business to achieve its targets, whilst ensuring compliance with its statutory and compliance obligations, including statutory accounting and tax issues.
  3. Supervise broad accounting activities in our central ERP system (SAP S4 / HANA).
  4. Perform and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
  5. Responsible for Intercompany finance processes.
  6. Develop and implement accounting approaches ensuring compliance with local GAAP / business practices whilst adhering to the group accounting principles and financial control framework.
  7. Partner and collaborate with Headquarters Treasury and Consolidation department.
  8. Oversee timely and accurate billing and AR collections.
  9. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and management reporting, including variance analysis vs. budgets and forecasts & previous years.
  10. Coordinate and support the budgeting / forecasting process in close collaboration with the Managing Director.
  11. Coordinate, support, and follow up on the annual audit processes.
  12. Ensure timeous, efficient, and cost-effective management of the company's operations.
  13. Manage the Operations Specialist to fulfill duties including inventory management, inbound flow, set-up and adjustment of product forecast, and the strategic development and execution of future production needs for local suppliers.
  14. Comply with existing Supply Chain procedures for planning and sourcing purposes and is expected to participate in policy improvement initiatives.
  15. Support annually defined as well as ad-hoc defined improvement projects where required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  1. BCom Accounting Honours, CA(SA), SAICA accredited.
  2. At least 5 years' experience in a senior finance role post articles.
  3. Experience working with Middle Eastern and African countries.
  4. Proven track record as a Finance Team Leader with excellent leadership skills.
