About the Opportunity
As the Finance Manager at WOLO Travel, you will take charge of the day-to-day financial management of our South African division while overseeing the financial operations of our global businesses, including Thailand, China, and Singapore. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the administrators of each market, who act as liaisons with our local finance partners. Your responsibility will be to ensure that financial operations are seamlessly executed in accordance with the deadlines and requirements of regulatory authorities. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the FM will also contribute regularly to projects and the overall strategic direction of WOLO Travel by being part of the company's Management team.
Requirements
Experience & Qualifications
- Degree level qualifications or higher
- CA or CPA or equivalent with 3-5 years post qualification experience
- Experience and knowledge of complex accounting packages
- Practical general finance and accounting experience in a foreign invested business
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Audit experience be an added advantage

- A high level of knowledge of Excel spreadsheets

- Ability to show initiative and communicate any relevant issues
- Outstanding organisational skills, tenacity and attention to detail
- Ability to work with Xero, Moonstride or different software
- Good commercial acumen
- Must be honest and trustworthy
The responsibilities of the position
- Oversee the finances, management accounts and audits of all related companies
- Ensure the companies consolidated accounts are accurate and submitted on time
- Accounting process management
- Financial Reporting, Statutory Compliance and Corporate Governance
- Maintain accurate records of accounting transactions
- Management of External Review process & process intercompany transactions timeously
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Finance Team Management
- Business Performance Management
- Acquisitions and Investment Appraisal
