Finance Analyst Principal / Senior

Job Title: Finance Analyst

Location: Saldanha, South Africa

Responsibilities:

1. Analyse financial data, overseeing budgeting and forecasting.
2. Provide financial insights to support operational decision-making.
3. Identify cost-saving opportunities, ensuring the financial health of the operational area, and contributing to the overall profitability of the plant.
4. Work closely with operational managers to understand the intricacies of the manufacturing process.
5. Provide financial analysis that is both accurate and actionable.
6. Participate in strategic planning and investment analysis.
7. The role requires business acumen to go beyond the analysis of data to understand key business drivers and provide analytical insights on performance.
8. Build and maintain strong relationships with Segment correspondents and colleagues from other Corporate departments.

Minimum Requirements:

1. 10 years experience within the finance controlling environment.
2. Chartered or Masters in Finance with strong accounting and finance knowledge.
3. CIMA or MBA would be an added advantage.
4. Experience in FP&A, Consolidation, Budgets and forecast analysis.
5. Experience with ERP, automation and visualization tools involving SAP, Power BI, Tableau, RPA etc.
6. High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Excel is essential.
7. Familiarity with data cubes and other reporting tools/software is desirable.
8. High level of numeracy, an eye for detail and the ability to manage large sets of data is essential.
