Job Description
Elsies River & Malmesbury

Emphasis will be given to EE candidates.

Must have a driver's license and own vehicle.

The role is based at two Plants in Elsies River (Cape Town) and Malmesbury, requiring the candidate to travel between the sites. The workweek will be split between the two Plants.

Initially, the role will be solely in Cape Town from Monday to Friday. However, once the Malmesbury Plant is operational, the workweek will shift to Tuesday to Saturday.

Job Purpose
Responsible for the proper storage, movement, and stocktaking of all dry goods, consumables, and product inventory following company procedures, with a focus on stock intake and investigating any stock discrepancies.

Reporting to: Head: Financial Reporting and Analysis

Outputs:

1. Manage and control all product inventories, including carcasses/boxes from internal and external suppliers, following company processes.
2. Control and issue all dry goods/consumable inventory according to procedures.
3. Ensure accurate labeling and positioning of all labels.
4. Handle all paperwork to the creditors department regarding stock intakes at on-and offsite locations.
5. Conduct weekly stocktaking of all dry goods, consumables, and product inventory according to agreed SOPs.
6. Reconcile inventory movements weekly/monthly and address any discrepancies.

Management Reporting and Analysis

1. Report weekly/monthly on inventory movements and variances.
2. Identify and report patterns and trends in inventory movements and variances.
3. Provide Finance support to the Plant Manager and Analyst team, particularly on stock-related matters.

People Supervision

1. Supervise stock take teams.
2. Maintain positive employee relations, manage conflicts, and foster a productive work environment.

Requirements

1. Experience: 3-5 years of inventory control experience.
2. 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
3. Working week: Tuesday to Saturday (Initially Monday to Friday, shifting to Tuesday to Saturday once Malmesbury Plant begins operations).
4. Plants/Location: The candidate will work at two plants in Elsies River and Malmesbury, dividing time between both locations weekly and making ad hoc visits to offsite storage facilities.
5. Functional Competencies: Accuracy, English Literacy, Computer Literacy, Understanding of Yield.

Salary:
R 30,000.00 CTC per month. This is a TCTC package covering travel between both Plants in Elsies River (Cape Town) and Malmesbury, and back home.
