Field Service Technician

Responsibilities:

1. Efficiently diagnose and repair faults
2. Install and commission machines at clients' premises
3. Conduct customer training sessions and machine assessments
4. Uphold standards of quality control and assurance
5. Efficiently handle administrative tasks
6. Provide maintenance support and assistance to customers
7. Rebuild and service equipment, promptly responding to breakdowns
8. Ensure strict adherence to safety standards
9. Deliver exceptional customer service in all interactions.
10. Effectively manage Works Orders and Customer Support tasks for timely completion
11. Provide technical support to diverse stakeholders including Customers, Spare part Representatives, Engineers, and Technicians

Skills & Experience:

1. Valid Code B Driver's license
2. Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
3. Preferably experienced in the Liquid Packaging Industry, familiar with fillers, unscramblers, end-of-line equipment, blow moulders, cappers, etc.
4. Proficient in electrical and pneumatic fault finding
5. Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer service mindset
6. Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and reliability
7. Positive attitude, self-motivated, and computer literate (MS Word, MS Excel, Internet, MS Outlook)

Qualifications:

1. Qualified Fitter and Turner / Millwright with a solid background in machine building and production machine maintenance (minimum 3 years' experience)
2. Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
