Field Sales Representative

The position is based in Briardene Park, Durban.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Sales Representative's main responsibility is to take full accountability for strategically generating sales under Radio Retail for Spar, across all service offerings provided. You will actively seek media sales opportunities and manage a portfolio of accounts per agreed targets while developing and maintaining good relationships with these accounts.

Duties of the Sales Representative include (but are not limited to):

• Achieving sales targets and completing the sales journey.
• Offering strategic/creative solutions to clients.
• Meeting the required weekly store visits and client call targets by seeing all customers at least once over an eight-week period.
• Attending trade shows.
• Educating clients on new service offerings and consolidating reports.
• Creating sales proposals to pitch to clients, updating the sales pipeline weekly, and preparing a sales store plan to discuss with management monthly.
• Submitting an advert brief to the studio via the advert platform.
• Providing feedback reporting on sales, including strategy to close sales gaps.
• Attending both internal and external planned sales training throughout the year.

REQUIREMENTS

• Matric/Grade 12.
• A diploma or degree in Sales and/or Marketing would be advantageous.
• 2 years’ customer relations experience.
• 2 years’ sales experience.
• Background in Retail/FMCG would be advantageous.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal - English and Afrikaans.
• Strong sales and account management skills.
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Experience in developing and implementing sales strategies.
• Ability to meet and exceed targets and goals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM software.
• Resides in Randburg or surrounding areas.
