Field & Onsite Technicians - Telecommunication (JB5134)
Edgecombe, Durban
R 8000 - R10 000 (to be reviewed after 3-month probation)
Duration: Permanent

We are looking for enthusiastic and skilled Field Technicians and an Onsite Support Technician to join our client’s team in Durban.

As a Field Technician, you’ll play a key role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting telecom systems, working hands-on with cutting-edge technology. If you thrive in a structured office setting, the Onsite Support Technician position offers the chance to provide remote technical support, assisting clients with system diagnostics and troubleshooting—without the need to travel.

The ideal candidate would have:
A tech-savvy mindset with an A+ / N+ Certification, previous experience in networking, CCTV, and PBX installation & maintenance, and knowledge of Yeastar and Mikrotik.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Grade 12 (Matric)
  2. A+ / N+ Certification (mandatory)
  3. Valid Driver’s License & Own Reliable Vehicle (for Field Technicians)
  4. Relevant IT/Telecom Qualifications (advantageous)
  5. Previous experience in networking, CCTV, and PBX installation & maintenance
  6. Knowledge of Yeastar and Mikrotik (advantageous)
  7. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  9. Excellent communication and customer service skills

Duties and Responsibilities:
Field Technician:
  1. Install, configure, and maintain PBX, CCTV, and networking equipment.
  2. Diagnose and resolve hardware and software faults on telecoms systems.
  3. Perform troubleshooting for Yeastar and Mikrotik devices (advantageous).
  4. Conduct onsite visits to clients to assess and fix technical issues.
  5. Provide training and support to clients on telecom solutions.
  6. Ensure timely completion of service requests and maintain accurate reports.
  7. Maintain high standards of customer service while on-site.

Onsite Support Agent:
  1. Provide remote technical support for PBX, CCTV, and networking issues.
  2. Assist clients in troubleshooting and resolving telecom-related issues.
  3. Monitor and manage system performance and conduct necessary updates.
  4. Work closely with field technicians to coordinate service requests.
  5. Maintain documentation and log all customer interactions.
