Field Engineer

Field Engineer - Uganda

On behalf of a major Oil & Gas operating company, WRS are looking for a Field Engineer to work in Uganda on a contract, rotational basis. This will be a 12 month renewable contract, rotating 28/28 into Uganda, paying a day rate in USD.

This role will be supporting a large onshore oilfield development project.

Job Duties:

1. Control and supervise the contractors field engineering activities in compliance with the approved design, project requirements and applicable codes and standards.
2. Provide technical support to the construction teams for engineering and pre-commissioning related topics to ensure that construction risks are well anticipated and reduced as much as possible.
3. Regularly liaise with the Lead PVV-tanks-Structural Field Engineer to ensure proper supervision of field engineering activities on site.
4. Liaise with Engineering centres where appropriate.
5. Coordinate the support of the engineers from the Engineering team, including coordinating for any support mission for supervision of some critical activities on site.
6. Ensure compliance of the site modifications with the project referential, requirements and applicable international standards and local regulations.

Candidate Requirements:

1. Engineering degree or equivalent in Engineering discipline.
2. Experience working for an Oil & Gas operator.
3. Significant experience of more than 10 years in the Oil & Gas Industry on similar projects.
4. Construction site experience.
5. Site / Commissioning experience.
6. Team coordination experience.
