Farm Manager - Wine Grapes

Our client, a well-established vineyard and livestock farm, situated in AGTER-PAARL, has an opportunity to appoint a Farm Manager with excellent communication and strong people management skills to join their team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on team player, energetic, with a problem-solving attitude and able to multi-task under pressure.

The position will primarily be responsible for the management of the vineyards on the farm.

The candidate will be responsible for the following but not limited to:

1. All aspects related to Vineyard Production
2. Management of the livestock unit
3. Farm maintenance related work
4. Accurate recordkeeping and compliance standards of WIETA Audits
5. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes where needed
6. Management of permanent and seasonal workers on the farm
7. All other aspects related to this position

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:

1. Relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous
2. Approximately 5 - 7 years in a similar role
3. Mechanical skills
4. Strong understanding of wine production, grape varieties, and viticulture techniques
5. Strong leadership skills
6. Valid driver's license and PDP

A market-related remuneration salary package will be offered to the successful candidate, which includes accommodation and other benefits.
