Factory Manager

An established CMT factory in the South Coast of Durban is seeking a Factory Manager.

Minimum Requirements

1. Sound knowledge and understanding of safety regulations and policies.
2. Ability to multitask simultaneously.
3. Thorough knowledge of industry-specific factory equipment and machinery.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. Good analytical and leadership skills.
6. Ability to solve complex problems.
7. Exceptional ability to meet deadlines.
8. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
9. Outstanding managerial skills.
10. Good decision-making skills and logical thinking abilities.
11. Ability to drive, motivate and inspire staff to achieve.
12. Firm understanding of how to read and interpret cut sheets.
13. Forward thinker.
14. Computer literate (Microsoft Office Suite).

As a Factory Manager, you will be responsible for the following including but not limited to:

1. Overseeing the performance and delegating tasks to workers.
2. Ensuring that the factory targets are met.

Responsibilities Including but Not Limited to the following:

1. Planning factory daily routines.
2. Meeting customer's expectations and demands.
3. Supervising the factory workers on the production floor.
4. Maintaining high standards of the production line.
5. Implementing production strategies as per the requirements.
6. Monitoring the factory operations.
7. Taking corrective action as and when required.
8. Resolving any factory-related issues.
9. Assigning tasks to the factory staff.
10. Creating and enforcing quality control standards.
11. Implementing machine maintenance operating procedures.
12. Suggesting improvements in the strategies.
13. Preparing production schedules and reports.
14. Presenting the reports to the higher management.
15. Assisting the HR department in hiring.
16. Providing training to the new employees.
17. Inspecting the quality of the finished products.
18. Maintaining a sound relationship with the employees and management.
19. Ensuring all cut sheets are closed on time and wastages are tightly monitored and driven down.
20. Upskilling of production team allowing for multi-skilled employees in all areas.
