Job title / position: Executive Assistant

Number of positions: 1

Function and Business Unit: Infrastructure - Business Support

Description of the role and purpose of the job: Providing and prioritising operational and administrative support to the firm's leadership enabling them to focus on core business objectives.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Understand and enable Firm Strategy
  2. Understand strategy at Firm, Function and Service line level
  3. Understand how role aligns with strategy and how execution of role enables strategy
  4. Understand the broader firm structure and service offering
  5. Manage Business Unit leadership diaries and correspondence
  6. Manage Leadership travel arrangements in accordance with KPMG Policy
  7. Scheduling of meetings / Booking / co-ordinating of functions / events / conferences
  8. Completing and submitting partner timesheets / expenses (Oracle)
  9. Providing general support to Business Leadership
  10. Assist with BU Administration
  11. Understand and contribute towards the financial management goals of the business
  12. Comply with KPMG Risk Management and other Policies and Procedures
  13. Drive a relentless focus on quality and excellent service
  14. Understand internal and external stakeholders
  15. Deliver role requirements with a client centric approach
  16. Demonstrate high quality and timeous verbal and written communication
  17. Building internal and external trust
  18. Keep abreast with recent developments and best practice in respective field

Skills and attributes required for the role:

Skills:

  • Matric
  • Secretarial diploma or similar qualification would be an advantage
  • Strong capability in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook) and Oracle
  • Communication and writing skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Fast and accurate typing
